...It's All In The Experience

Do you love Paris?

Oh, how I love Paris! I am amazed each and every time I visit the “City of Light” how much I miss it. I arrived yesterday only to be reminded of this as I was walking back to my hotel after an amazing dinner. The sites, the bustle, the people, the architecture, the boutiques, the culinary delights….what is not to love!

Dinner was at Le Petit Marche, a small cafe/restaurant in the 3rd arrondissement. The food had a certain Asian influence, which for me only added to a most enjoyable meal. I had the Chinese Chicken Salad and the duck. The Chinese salad was fantastic, with flavors the exploded with every bite. The duck came with the best mashed potatoes I have ever eaten. The duck was cooked to perfection and very good, but I can’t help thinking about those potatoes. I don’t know if it was buttery flavor or the creamy texture or what, it really didn’t matter the taste was magnifique!. A nice bottle of Sancerre and dinner was complete. Sorry no room for dessert…perhaps today.

I am staying at the Arc de Triomphe Hilton, which is away from the bustle, but still in a great location with only 5 to 7 minute walk to the Arc de Truimphe. The hotel staff is very friendly and the service is always good. Very relaxing!
