Description

Discover the Palace of Versailles that was made famous by Louis XIV, who was dubbed “The Sun King”. Originally a hunting lodge under Louis XIII, it was later enlarged by Louis XIV, who turned it into the seat of the royal court in 1678. The court became the official seat of power at the Chateau in 1682 until the French revolution in 1789.

In addition to the Hall of Mirrors, the Kings wing, and the incredible gardens, you will also gain exclusive access to the private Queens chambers of Marie-Antoinette.  Archduchess of Austria, Marie-Antoinette was married to Louis XVI and met her famous fate at the guillotine during the French Revolution. After your visit, we suggest lunch at the elegant La Flotille restaurant, which is near a canal in the Versailles gardens.
