Alsace

The Alsace vineyards are sheltered by the Vosges Mountains and dotted amongst the picturesque villages that are influenced with a bit of German character. The wines of the region benefit from the one of the driest climates in France, a diverse terroir and of course the four noble grapes varieties of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat, and Gewurztraminer. Wines in the region are named for the grape varieties and will bear the names on their labels.

Main Grape Varieties – Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Girs and Gewurztraminer for whites and Pinot Noir for Rose’s.
