St Chinian & Cote de Languedoc Wine Tour. Your tour begins in St Chinian where we will transport you to your first destination. 300 m up in one of the highest and most southerly situated vineyards of St Chinian and the home of your hosts for the morning Catherine & Patrick who have been making labor intensive environmentally friendly wines for the last 10 years slowly building up there reputation worldwide . Catherine will first take you on a small walk up into the vineyard ,where she will explain a little bit of her history and how she came to be here at Chateau Combebelle making her wine in this very male dominated industry . She will explain about the soils and the weather which are very important factors in the type and style of her wines . Then we will go and Visit her winery and she will go through the processes that she uses to produce her different wines . Hopefully now you will be ready for a glass of Catherine’s lovely rose as you have been invited to have lunch beautifully prepared by Patrick on the delightful terrace with amazing views of the surrounding area where you will have a chance to talk to both Catherine and Patrick and taste the fruits of labor.

This afternoon we will travel north to the other side of St Chinian to its other extremity in the north and visit the very talented Dutch wine maker Lidewij Van Wilgen . After welcoming you Lidewij will take you for a walk amongst the vines and tell you her amazing story of how she came from a high profile job in advertising in Amsterdam to Murveil De Bezier were she started at the Mas de Dames a ruin at the time . Then of to visit her winery and hear how she has become someone the wine world is buzzing about . Then you will finish your visit with a private wine tasting. Depart Toulouse and surrounding area.
