Normandy

Normandy  The Normandy region is rich in history and traditions. Situated in Northwest France it is known for its D-Day beaches and World War II history. Amazing villages and towns that survived the war dot the countryside. There are many wonderful guided D-Day tours that will allow you to see up close this important part of history.

Spectacular coastal scenery will amaze you with one of the most breathtaking sights in Normandy, Mont Saint Michel. It is astounding to see its waters rushing in with the speed of a galloping horse to surround the isle within minutes.

Among other sights to see in this region are the basilica at Lisieux that is dedicated to Saint Theresa and stands reverently above the town. Monet's garden at Giverny will take you into the home and gardens of this beloved painter. The gardens are still a tribute to the artist and will allow you to glimpse what you have only seen before in his paintings.

Many of the seaside towns like Honfleur have a charming flavor of their own, with plenty of shops with  unique treasures from the region.
