Languedoc-Roussillon
Languedoc-Roussillon
The
Languedoc-Roussillon is a southern region
where the Pyrenees Mountains run to the
scenic coast and the Mediterranean Sea. This
sun drenched, herbal region is known for its
French table wines that are either sweet or
dry. The cuisine is Catalan and this region
has a strong Catalan influence as well.
There are many coastal towns and ports that
allow you to enjoy the beaches and the
glistening Mediterranean. A region of
festivals that include water jousting,
music, bull fighting and international
folkdance are a few of the many festivals
that take place here. Art treasures,
museums and a medieval chapel provide a
distraction when you are tired of scenic
driving and the unforgettable views along
the Vermillion Coast.
