Provence and the Luberon

  Luberon  - Luberon is the real Provence, full of character, a sweet dolce vita of a climate and pure clean air which just breathes the incredible contrasts between a rich, and variable natural environment. Beginning with Lourmarin, you will discover this charming village before reaching the village of Bonnieux. Then it's on to Roussillon to see with its famous Ochre Quarries. During the end of your day you will stop in the village of Gordes
  Avignon - Avignon and Chateauneuf du Pape  - Visit Avignon   “la Cité des Papes” and discover the largest Gothic Palace in the world, For lunch you can try a unique and casual tasting experience in the indoor maket. Try platters of olives, tapenades, cold cuts, oysters organic breads and local cheeses in a very Provencal atmosphere. After lunch, an introduction to the most famous  wine producers of Chateauneuf du Pape:
 
  Perched Villages - Menerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux, but also Seguret or Sablet. Many artisits, actors and writers fell in love and settled around these picturesque and inspiring villages. Discover these treasures of Provence as they are considered among  some of the most beautiful Villages in France.  For lunch we can recommend one of our favorite spots  that also inspired Peter Mayle while writing one of his best sellers. You can also try a wine tasting in a prestigious Cotes du Luberon or Cotes du Rhone celler. Plenty to discover in the perched villages of the Luberon and certainly something you will long remember.
 
  Gorges du Verdon and Moustiers  - The deep cliff of the Gorges du Verdon is unique in Europe, we invite you to discover this area of spectacular natural beauty. You will stop in Manosque where your driver will introduce you to the famous this charming little city where Giono passed his life. You will then drive through “the Plateau de Valensole”, lavender fields and Amanda trees offer unbelievable scenery. After passing through Valensole village and Riez, two authentic places with a lot of history, you will arrive in the medieval town of Moustiers Sainte Marie. There you can walk through this beautiful hilltown village know for its pottery and faïence industry. Stroll around the original shops and producers.
 
  Provincia Romana  - Take a trip to the 2000 year old Roman vestiges that are still so well preserved. See the Antique Theatre in Orange and after a wine tasting you will head out to the breathtaking Pont du Gard.. Then in the afternoon, you will take in either the archeological sites of Vaison la Romaine or the town of Glanum in St. Remy de Provence
  Calanques of Marseille - Discover one of the most beautiful coasts of France. This tour will take you t othe hidden little fishing harbours isolated from the moderism of Marseille and offering unique scenery...deep green-blue waters, white cliffs and green pine trees. You will be amazed by such beauty. You can even choose to take a boat ride along the coast.
 
  Ochre Tour  - Put on comfortable walking shoes and do not foret your camera. This colourful experience begins in the village of Roussillon, with a hike in the nearby ochre guarries. You might choose the option of entering the Ochres Conservatory or a walk in the charming streets before having lunch in a typical village restaurant.
  Arles & the Wild Camargue  - Visit Arles and discover its famous Roman vestiges, but also some Van Gogh inspired spots (Cafe la Nuite, Sanatorium). Then cross the Camargue nature park (black bulls, horses, flamingos, etc) and end in Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, a quaint coastal town with stron Spanish and gypsy influences.
  Marseille and Calanques  -  Discover the places of interests witch made Marseille and its unique culture: the Vieux Port , Notre Dame de la Garde, and the famous Corniche scenic route. You will also see an old Fisherman’s port in the Vallon des Auffes.  Next explore the Calanques and coastal areas like Goudes, Calelongue and Cassis, small fishermen village. Discover also the local wine of the Bandol area. 
  Around Gordes- Gordes is classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France. You will be seduced by its narrow cobbled streets and the stunning view it offers. Enjoy a historical tour or free time on market day (Tueday), I will take you to the small village of Bories (day-stone huts). Then, you will taste some home made specialties of Provence in a traditional family owned olive mill. Finally, enter the peaceful Abbey of Senanque, surrounded by its gorgeous lavender fields in summer.
  Olive Oil, Wine and Soap  - Explore Aix en Provence, with a historical trip to the old city. Then drive to a village know for its olive oil producer. Mouries. You will then arrive in a charming small city named Salon de Provence, famous for Nostradamus and also its soap producer “Marius Fabre”. Your last drive will be to Les Baux de Provence, “one of the most beautiful village in France”, to see this medieval place.
  Lavender Route  - Take a unique and aromatic trip and get to know all about Lavender. All of your senses will be awakened as you drive through the lavender fields and make several picture stops. You may even have time to stop in Sault on Wednesdays for their market. You will learn all the benefits of the purple flower in a traditional lavender distillery (in season) or visit the Lavender Museum and even have a taste of region products made with lavender.
  Les Alpilles and Arles - Discover the unique atmosphere of the Alpilles area, huge limestone block famous for its unique colours and old little towns. Starting in Saint Rémy de Provence, famous for its charming streets and Van Gogh’s presence, you will then cross the Alpilles range of mountains to join Les Baux de Provence, “one of the most beautiful village in France”, to discover this medieval place on the top of a cliff. Your last drive will be to Arles, famous for its Roman remains and town of choice of many artists, from Van Gogh to Picasso.
  Footsteps of Cezenne - First stop in Aix en Provence, for a historical trip through the centre of the old city where you will see the main places that relate to the Master, including the workshop, his Family home, the church where he got married and his birth place. You will then drive to the Sainte Victoire Montagne area, taking Cézanne’s road up to the Tholonet, typical little town that Cézanne loved for its character and its natural beauty. After that, you will see the Bimont dam and its breathtaking view on the countryside trough the Bibémus quarries
  Van Gogh & the Alpilles - Explore the charming town of St Remy de Provence where the colorful market takes place on Wednesday morning. Then see the fabulous landscape of the Alpilles mountains that gave Van Gogh much of his inspiration. Follow his steps visiting the peaceful cloiser St Paul, next to the famous hospital where he committed himself. Then a leisurely stop and lunch in the picturesque and medieval site of Les Baux de Provence where you will enjoy the sloping cobbled streets and a breathtaking view as far as the eye can see. Take a full day tour and you will be able to visit a local olive oil mill and taste their home made products.
 
  Provence Wine Trip  -Discover the summer home of the Popes: Chateaufeuf du Pape and also known for its famous wines. A few bottles await to be tasted in ancestral cellars, down the castle ruins, but also around the village. In the afternoon, take a drive through the vineyards of Cotes du Rhone to meet other passionate winegrowers around Gigondas, Beaumes de Venise or Seguret for more wine tastings.
